Chapter Purpose
Mission
The mission of the National Black MBA Association, Inc. Austin Chapter is to channel its membership's talents and resources to stimulate the economic structure, intellectual wealth and economic growth of the Central Texas Black Business community.
Objective
We, the membership in this Chapter, are a nonprofit, professional organization primarily consisting of African-American MBA's, Masters, Doctorial level and post-graduate professionals, graduate and undergraduate business students, business professionals, and entrepreneurs whose objectives are to develop, enhance, and add value to the economic and intellectual wealth of the Central Texas Black Business community.
Affiliation and Networking
This Chapter will develop and provide a means for its members to affiliate, socialize, and network within our organization and community while fostering professional growth. This Chapter's members shall establish and maintain relations with other Central Texas Business community professional organizations within our community. In conjunction with the above, we will help other organizations develop the best possible Central Texas Black Business community leaders and managers in order for them to achieve meaningful gains within this community as business professionals.
Enhancement
As a major part of our goal to provide for meaningful gains for the Central Texas Black Business community, we will help enhance the economic structure of this community through recruiting and mentoring of African-American students, especially in the many fields of business. Our organization will help increase the executive skills of managers through development programs, and provide vital networks of information for our members and those within the Central Texas Black Business community.
Who are we?
We are a professional body composed of African-American business professionals, MBA students, seasoned executives, and entrepreneurs within both the public and private sectors of the Central Texas Area. Our members are leaders within the areas of the hospitality industry, business administration, financial servicing, marketing, management, manufacturing, and various service sectors who are making a difference within this community.
